The Rucci Legacy Foundation (RFL) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization born from a
Rwandan family’s long- standing commitment to their nation. With deep roots in the nation's
public and private sectors and expertise in health, they’ve launched RLF in 2024 to foster
healthier and more resilient communities across Rwanda.
The Foundation's core mission is to
enhance equitable access to healthcare, promote vital health literacy, and implement impactful
community development initiatives. Research and data collection plays a crucial role in
strengthening these efforts, allowing the foundation to achieve greater impact. RLF achieves this
by collaborating with a diverse network of partners, including health experts, public health
centers, government institutions, community leaders, and private clinics.
RLF's programs address
critical health needs, with a particular focus on women's and children's health. Key initiatives
include ante-natal care, screenings for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and access to
essential diagnostic services such as Pap smears, fibroid tests, HPV tests, thyroid tests, MRI and
CT scans and infertility surveys and testing to vulnerable and underserved communities. By
leveraging the collective knowledge and extensive network, RLF designs innovative, effective,
and sustainable healthcare solutions, striving to ensure the highest quality of care for women and
their families.
RLF envisions a thriving Rwanda where every citizen possesses the health
knowledge and resources to shape their own destiny and contribute to a stronger, healthier
nation.
To improve the well being of Rwandans by expanding access to quality diagnostic care and fostering health literacy within communities.
To build a healthier and more resilient Rwanda, where every citizen has the health knowledge to shape their own destiny and contribute to a stronger nation.
